Lefkada, the near side

Clear Ionian water and green hills at Desimi Beach near Geni, Lefkada

3 km to Desimi

Beaches within minutes

Desimi Beach is a five-minute drive, calm, pebbled, backed by olive trees, with two tavernas at the water’s edge. Alonaki is a little further along the same coast and usually quieter. And that’s just the near side of the island: the famous west-coast beaches, Egremni, Porto Katsiki, Kathisma, make an easy day trip, and we’ll tell you exactly when to leave to beat the crowds.

Dimosari Waterfalls cascading into a turquoise pool in the gorge near Nidri, Lefkada

7 km

Dimosari Waterfalls & hiking

Seven kilometres from the resort, the Dimosari gorge hides waterfalls that run even in August, with a swimming hole cold enough to make you shout. The walk in is short and shaded; proper hikers can continue up the gorge trails through olive groves and cypress. Go in the morning, swim, and be back at the pool by lunch.

SUP & Bike Rental

Geni Bay is flat as glass most mornings, which is why guests keep mentioning the SUP trips in their reviews. We arrange paddleboard rentals right here, and bikes for the coast road toward Vlycho and Nidri. If you want a day on the water, small motorboats can be hired in Nidri with no licence needed; find your own swimming cove along the Princes’ Islands and be back for sunset.

Waterside taverna tables beside Geni Bay, with sailing boats and green hills beyond

500 m to Elena

Tavernas & village life

Elena taverna is a 500-metre walk from your room: fresh seafood, tables by the water, and the kind of service that remembers your order by the second night. Beyond it, the villages around Vlycho and Nidri keep a working harbour’s rhythm: fishermen in the morning, families at the tavernas in the evening, and nobody in a hurry. On the road between them, a family stall sells local honey worth the suitcase space; ask us for directions.

A quiet morning lane through olive trees and hills in Geni, Lefkada

10 min

Nidri & morning walks

Nidri sits just across the water: a working harbour town with genuinely good restaurants, boat hire, shops, and the ferry quay for day trips to Meganisi. Go for dinner and stay for the harbour lights.

Closer to home, the monument and the little church near the resort make a perfect early morning walk. Twenty quiet minutes, the bay waking up below you, and back before the coffee is ready. Ask our team to point the way, and where to stop for local honey on the road.

Slow evenings at the resort

Some of the best evenings never leave the property. The hot tub and sauna take the edge off a beach day; the billiards table by the bar settles who buys the next round; and when the mood strikes, the karaoke machine comes out. The terrace looks over the bay, the bar keeps pouring, and nobody is in a hurry to go anywhere.
